NEET UG Previous Year Question Papers, Answer Keys, and Study Plan
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) is one of the most important examinations for students aspiring to pursue medical and dental education in India. It acts as the single gateway to undergraduate medical courses across the country. To prepare effectively for this highly competitive exam, candidates must develop a clear understanding of the NEET exam pattern, syllabus, and most importantly, the neet previous year question paper, which reflects real exam trends and difficulty levels. This article offers detailed insights, essential resources, and strategic guidance to help aspirants strengthen their NEET preparation.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate), commonly known as NEET UG, is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and serves as the standardized entrance examination for admission into MBBS, BDS, and other undergraduate medical programs in India. A thorough analysis of the NEET UG question paper, along with consistent practice of neet previous year question papers, enables students to understand question patterns, identify high-weightage topics, and improve overall performance.
From 2019 onwards, NEET UG has been conducted by the NTA, whereas earlier it was administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) until 2018. NEET UG is applicable for admission to MBBS and BDS courses offered by medical and dental colleges approved by the regulatory bodies under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Institutions established through an Act of Parliament, such as AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry, are excluded from this admission process. The NTA’s responsibilities include conducting the examination, declaring results, and providing the All India Rank to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
NEET UG is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses in colleges approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Dental Council of India (DCI). Apart from conducting the exam and declaring results, the NTA also supplies the result data to the DGHS for counselling of 15% All India Quota seats and shares the necessary details with state and other counselling authorities. For aspirants, regularly practicing the neet previous year question paper is one of the most effective ways to align preparation with official exam standards and counselling outcomes.
